The current trend of fashion heavily rotates around work-wear, flannel shirts, heavy cotton smocks, warming woolen socks are just a few work-wear inspired trends that we currently stock.
This morning I spent some moments looking through The Best Photo’s of 2011, there are obviously many amazing pieces of photography but the image below got me thinking. This man is a real life cowboy and if you look at the breast of his jacket you see a golden logo.

Last Friday evening Dogfish teamed up with Carhartt to bring one of hip hops most infamous rappers to a small club in Norwich for an intimate evening. We knew from the moment Carhartt mentioned the words Pharoahe Monch and Dogfish that this event was going to go off. It was the late eighties and hip hop was taking hold of the youth and ushering a new fashion where everything was extra large. The extra large clothing would soon become problematic as you didn’t want your brand new £100 plus Nike’s covered in denim stains and overshadowed by mass fabric. For a while young Londoners would tuck their jeans into their socks and then bam along came the pin-roll.

If you’ve never had a chance to check one out it showcases the latest collections including collaborations, affiliated artists, brand history, and just about anything else that Carhartt has put their name to in the last 6 months. The new Carhartt lookbook has adapted what makes Carhartt so wonderful, into a fully developed chapter of Carhartt’s already impressive array of artistic lookbooks. Alexander Basile has replicated the tough gritty ethos of Carhartt by cutting down 5 hours of VHS recordings into single still images that capture each of this seasons looks perfectly.
We are huge fans of Carhartt here at Dogfish and have a wonderful collection of Carhartt available instore now.
We have seen many a brand come and go through out the years that our doors have been open, but Carhartt have been a main stay for the majority. The reason for this being is that Carhartt know what they do and do it very well, taking their workman ethic and translating it into contemporary fashion for the everyday man. Every member of staff at Dogfish has a heavy amount of Carhartt in their wardrobe, it is and always will be a staple for any mans wardrobe.

Our Photographer has been endlessly shooting all our Carhartt goods for the spring summer 2011 collection, this then made me have a look into some of the amazing past Carhartt campaigns that they have run.
The American contemporary designer Adam Kimmel has been hard at work sharing ideas and designing numerous pieces of apparel with the guys over at Carhartt. This is some exciting news, we are looking at a Spring time drop that will consist of 29 garments ranging from shirts, tees, trousers and many more surprises.
The American work-wear brand have just dropped a little insight into what we can expect from them in the new year, here we have a piece from their artist series t-shirts.
