This is France’s first pompidou centre outside Paris, it’s a giant art centre will house permanent and temporary exhibitions from the musee national d’art moderne. “The centre pompidou-metz is a large hexagonal structure covering a collection of interior spaces. It is structured around a central spire of 77 metres height.” Click the image to see more photos of this amazing building
The view from inside. An relatively new artist has been making big wave in the U.S.A, using the same method as the Obey artist Shepard Fairey. But he doesn’t just screen print, he also has drawings, paintings and a small selection of apparel. He does a lot of silhouette prints and seems to like using tress and the landscape in his art, some of his work get to three foot wide. He has also done a range of paintings and prints using dinosaurs Continue reading Dan McCarthy Here is a look at inside Obeys May Day exhibition that opened on the 1st of May showing new pieces made by Shepard Fairey for this event.

Scott Campbell is an artist that uses money, among other things, to make some of the most creative and precise art I have ever seen. The work shown here is from an exhibition in New York at the moment. “Taking the kindergarten snowflake cutouts of your youth to an unprecedented extreme, the bulk of Scott’s exhibit displays stacked, freshly minted US one dollar bills carved out with an Epilog laser to create three-dimensional skulls, human hearts, and a (assumingly) life sized image of the grim reaper himself.”
You can see more of his work here. Banksy has hit the streets of America again, and has now moved on from L.A. to San Francisco. Using his tried and tested stencils to convey messages and to provoke emotions.
Everybody’s favourite graffiti artist is in L.A. for the premier of his film, Exit Through Gift Shop, and has made the most of his time there by doing what Banksy does best.
A little while we posted a blog about the use of Lego in art. There is another artist, called Nathan Sawaya, making incredible sculptures out of the little blocks. His solo debut is in the Agora Gallery, NYC where the artist explores the limitless possibilities of the childhood toy, going as far as to create a life-sized “self-portrait”. The exhibition opened yesterday and goes on till April 13 so if you happen to be in New York go check it out and send us some pictures.

Another attack from team Robbo on banksy’s graffiti thats in and around London. This time Robbo has hit more than just one of Banksy’s stencils. We are all waiting to see if and when Banksy will retaliate. This is the original There has been another hit made in the street war between two of the greatest graffiti artists in the UK. This time it was Robbo taking a jab at Banksy. With the release of Banksy’s film, Exit Through The Gift Shop, getting its first screening tomorrow Robbo has timed his attacks perfectly. I think we can safely say this isn’t going to be the last we see between these two. By erasing Banksy’s tag from the end of the boy’s fishing rod and replacing it with the words “Street Cred,” Robbo made clear what he thinks Banksy Continue reading Banksy vs Robbo Round 2 |
